Westwood Table Soccer Historic Frame : Unione Calcio Sampdoria 1946 - 2018
Based in the beautiful City of Genoa, Sampdoria are proud owners of one of the most recognisable and least adapted kits of all time. Formed after a merger between two clubs; Sampierdarenese & Andrea Doria - hence Samp-Doria this famous Italian club has changed it's kit very little, but then when it's as beautiful as it is, why mess with it?
This Frame is bespoke to the client and contains the kits and individual players requested, you'll notice the 'Friar Tuck' hair style of the iconic Attilio Lombardo in the middle row, wearing a slightly lighter shade of blue. Whilst Sampdoria haven't changed their kit design too much they have experimented with different shades of blue and within this piece there are 3 different ones.
Finally this frame contains a goalkeeper figure, a first for us here at Westwood Table Soccer, Goalkeeper kits are often remembered for being completely out there and this one from 1990's is no different and is based on the Italian Great, Gianluca Pagliuca.
"Even to a rugby fan like me this is GREAT. I lost weeks of my childhood to Subbuteo." James Freedman via Twitter (@JamesFreedman)
